Most things on Instagram are dumb. This is genius

Born from jets, sure, but I’d expect the child of F-16s (I think those are supposed to be F-16s) would be something more like this:

Must be an adoption.

Okay, that’s really good.

This makes me uncomfortable.

Hahahahaha!

They’re supposed to be the Saab JAS 39 Grippen...
or even the J32 Lansen...
...but the artist drew an F16.

If we decided to take this concept way too seriously... the daddy probably shouldn’t be a jet, right?

Of course one is bigger than the other, so since I don’t think we have sexual dimorphism in planes, maybe it is actually an F-2 and an F-16?
Regardless, maybe she had an affair with a Draken, and that’s how we got here?

Maybe the Lansen. The Gri pen’s too young to have fathered the 900.
Also, found this: Saab was born from jets, but they never mentioned which ones...

Why? It’s “b orn from jet s ”, not “ born from jet”
![]() 01/24/2019 at 11:31 |

I would be mighty suspicious at this point if I was the "father"

And here we have an image of the graceful KC135 and the powerful B52 in their natural habitat, mating...
...in a few years it’s offspring, the X15 will detach from it’s mother and take flight on it’s own.

I thought the implication was that Saabs (in general) are born from jets, not that each Saab (singular) is born from jets (plural). So each Saab would be a hybrid offspring of one jet parent (probably the mother if we want to get technical about what it means to be “born from”) and one car parent.

Possibly. I’ve always assumed that Saab cars were weird ground mutants raised by (no doubt proud) jet parents .

Born from Propeller Driven Aircraft
Their first jet was throwing a jet engine into the back of the J 21

I’m digging the 21 there. The 900 doesn’t resemble it so much body-wise, but I can see some of it in the greenhouse shape.

Yeah, that’s pretty good.

Mating? That’s clearly a feeding operation!
